I will also have my website online by then, where my prints will be for sale. If you are in Dorset please pop by between 11-4 on Saturday :)
The pizza oven is operational :) just in time for winter… I’ve welded a flu onto the top and the fire now draws much better. Unfortunately all of the clay I dug by hand for the garden and covered it with for insulation obviously just fell back off as soon as it rained….

It’s been an exciting week, I’ve been experimenting by painting on top of copper sheets, and I absolutely love the results. My housemate brought some lovely sunflowers back home, and I found some interesting looking squashes in the supermarket which I couldn’t resist painting. Also I’m quickly running out of space to store my work, and I would love to sell some so others can enjoy it. Sunflowers 20x30cm (actually sorry not for sale yet) Message if you are interested in purchasing anything. Postage and framing can be arranged at additional cost. Heatwave Oil pastels on paper Whatever size a4 paper is cm Had a great time doing this painting (yes I’m calling it a painting even though there was no paintbrush involved) of our family friend Richard’s house that we visited down in France. It was peak heatwave and the oil pastels were literally melting out of my hand onto the paper, which is great actually, I really enjoy how much texture it helped create. I may have almost got heat exhaustion but fortunately there was lots of cold beer and a hose pipe nearby. Comment and reshare if you can carne por la machina

I love making something that feels different from every angle, this sculpture somehow materialised from my mind over the last two days, it was made with a very soft sandstone kindly gifted to me by @alanward3333, so I was able to use basic wood chisels and sand the stone by hand, allowing me to work and think quickly. Unfortunately the stone decided to break halfway though (very soft stone), but instead of giving up I decided to make it part of the piece and carved an interlocking set of steps for one piece to slot carefully onto the other. I’ve added my 3d scan of the piece, which is going to be part of scaling up my work, somehow keeping the tactile, quick, adventurousness that working at small scale gives me, but enabling casts or skeletons to be fabricated from the digital model that can then become monumental versions of the originals. Really pleased with this quick painting, me and @kimb3r_01 lingered to look at these beautiful highland cows whilst we were up in Edinburgh to see the fringe, then had to run to catch back up to the group (I won), but glad I was able to take a photo to paint from :) #oilpainting #highlandcow
Here’s a fun video from our van trip, Jana had some work to do so me and the dog went to paint a field! Had a great time using soft pastels, oil pastels and paints and finishing the painting the next morning from memory:) - somewhere in Spain #art #oilpastel #pleinair
I really enjoyed painting this small #stilllife before the sun set and the light changed, I’d like to do more of these small studies, I like the challenge of trying to fit in the detail despite not having a small enough brush, and it makes these moments of changing light possible to capture from life :) #oilpainting #art
Love these shadows #oilpainting #stilllife
